At the left is the white Iberis sempervirens, near the Dutch Iris, which is increasing in number: and see the loving couple of wood pigeons sitting on the rock?

These tulips are around 8 years old and the number of flowers is increasing.
Those two pictures are like details of the one below, but taken from different angles.
I have noticed a huge amount of bird song this month. In fact, it is so loud, you could not fail to be aware of their happiness.
Have you noticed a very abundant array of primroses? They are so big and happy looking in this warm
bright weather.

The allotment is where I grow most of my flowers. I had raised beds made specially for growing daffodils and tulips. I put a layer of stones at the base for drainage and the soil I used to fill with was a sandy top soil topped off with John Innes manure and my own compost mixture.
In this photo I had tied the leaves down to help me get a nice photo, and the garden ornament was from my father’s garden. -
